So I am on my till (at Primark) another customer comes to my till out of a long line. And this load just happened to be the rudest I’ve had in weeks.
There are two of them (women – is that fact important?) and one is on her phone. I always say hi to people I am about to serve – it just seems polite. But even if I shouted it at this woman I doubt she’d hear or pay attention. So she chats away of gibberish down the phone and I scan her stuff shove it in a bag.
There is another woman with her. Not on a phone but this woman places a towel in front of me. I think “Oh i need to scan that too.” I pick it up and the phone women pulls it angrily out of my hands and back at the woman. I’m standing thinking “Ignorant cow!” She then proceeds to pay by shoving the 10 pound note on my desk rather than into my hands. All through this she does nothing but talk on her freaking phone ignoring the fact I am standing there confused as to why the towel was so poorly treated.
I then pay for this towel separately and they leave. Not so much as a ‘Thanks for putting up with my rudeness.’ or a goodbye. I feel sorry for that poor towel. Many other towels go to good homes and are washed in nice clean washing stuff….but not this towel. Nope. This towel is going to live with women who love their phones too much.
Poor towel.
